Women-led, Minnesota small business
In 2017, Molly decided on a name and incorporated Z Green Cleaning! Today we serve about 100 clients regularly in the Twin Cities. We love our clients and are passionate about supporting them in life by helping in this practical way.
"I've always enjoyed cleaning and organizing. When I was young, I'd make coupons for birthdays/holidays offering to help friends and family clean out closets, organize cupboards or clean specific rooms.
After college I was cleaning for a couple clients in addition to my full-time work, when I realized that I wanted to gradually make cleaning my main job. I love helping others by taking cleaning off their plate! I couldn't be happier to work each day with outstanding clients and teammates alike."
Founder, Manager, Cleaner
Molly founded Z Green in September of 2017 with the dream to grow a team and serve clients with cleaning. She loves vacuuming, cleaning fridges and putting the finishing touches on a space. After doing most of the active cleaning at the start, she now manages the business from home while caring for her 1 year-old, Milo. She loves plants, podcasts, organizing, and brainstorming ways to improve business systems and care for clients and teammates well.
Myah joined our team in April of 2019 and says she is abundantly thankful for all the cleaning skills she has learned since then. She feels she has gained a neater, more organized perspective in her own spaces as well. Outside of work, Myah is studying for her psychology degree and is a fabulous photographer! Many of the photos used on our website were done by her!
Emma joined Z Green in August, 2022. She teaches piano locally, after having completed a music degree at the University of Northwestern. She reached out because she liked the sound of Z Green's work environment. Her favorite thing about cleaning is the satisfaction of a good before-and-after. She also loves helping clients enjoy a happier, lower-stress home. When not cleaning, you can find her cross-stitching (though Emma wishes that word weren't hyphenated, so we could all have the joy of 3 s's in a row). Long term Emma would like to work with animals, either by working at a humane society, wildlife rescue, or having a hobby farm.
Maria joined the team in October, 2022. She loved the idea of an environmentally friendly cleaning business and said "when I first met Molly I knew it was the right company." She enjoys making the fixtures in kitchens and bathrooms shine. When she isn't at work you can find her playing with her kids outside or reading motivational books, and she dreams of one day owning her own restaurant; in fact, she's already started her own business making tamales!
Training Manager & Cleaner
Krista joined us in February 2019! For fun, she loves expressing herself creatively through painting and drawing. Her eye for detail carries over into cleaning work and is steller at making a room look clean and tidy! One of her lifelong dreams is to live in Europe doing nothing but painting and drinking outstanding coffee. Fun fact: our updated logo was designed by her.
Training Manager & Residential Cleaner
Morgan joined the team in April, 2022. She has always enjoyed how cleaning can make a space more enjoyable to live in. She loves the process of transforming a space, and has a great eye for details. She also works at a clinic helping people improve their mobility and flexibility. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, yoga, and exploring the outdoors.
Emily joined Z Green in September, 2022. She was looking for a job while in school at Bethel University. Her favorite space to clean is the kitchen, because it makes such an impact on daily life. When not cleaning, Emily enjoys watching movies and spending time with friends and family. Long-term, she hopes to travel the world and find a way to make a positive impact on others.
Raquel joined the team in October, 2022. She was looking for a flexible job, and was excited about the idea of helping others enjoy their homes. She loves the way a clean room feels peaceful. If she's not cleaning, you can find her hiking or camping. She is currently getting a degree in Business and Non-Profit Leadership from the University of Northwestern, and hopes to one day start her own Non-Profit ministry. She also hopes to visit many National Parks.
Simone joined us in August of 2019, desiring to clean again after having provided her own cleaning services in high school. She is passionate about organizing, and coming up with ways to make Z Green run more efficiently. She would clean kitchen sinks all day long, if allowed. She is currently completing a Master's degree in Piano Performance. She wonders how many miles she has vacuumed while working for Z Green.
Emily joined the team in July, 2022. She needed a part-time job in order to have time to complete her training to become a marriage and family therapist. When she isn't cleaning or pursuing her therapy license, you can find Emily making music in her band, Laplant Road. (Look them up!) She loves shining up glass and metal fixtures, and she is excellent at it. Long term, she would like to move somewhere warmer with her husband, Jake, and dog, Maggie.
Klaudia joined the team in September, 2022. She was drawn to the level of organization in the way that Z Green is run, and had heard from others that it was a supportive work environment. Her favorite thing to clean is the kitchen. Originally from Hungary, Klaudia came to the U.S. 2.5 years ago. She enjoys exploring the States and learning about American culture in her spare time. In Hungary, Klaudia received a degree in Food Engineering, and was fascinated by milk processing. She dreams of one day starting her own farm and making "delicious dairy products."
Leah joined the team in November, 2022. She heard about Z Green from her cousin, who used to work for us as a cleaner! Leah loves a good before and after, and finds it relaxing to put a room back in order. In her spare time she loves to play board games with her friends and family and she enjoys the competition and banter. Long-term she hopes to travel the world and experience as many different cultures as she can.
